Short Description
“Nel Dolore Cerca La” is a promise to find beauty and seek joy even in sorrow, a love letter, sung, cried, screamed, for those who, even in pain, remain love. A tribute to Francesca’s mother, the song is a sonic diary of love, fear, and emotional survival.
Artist Reflections
I wrote this song during one of the darkest times, when I thought I might lose my mom. When she started getting better, I lay beside her in bed and began recording her voice because the idea of not hearing her laughter again was unbearable. The voices you hear in the outro are real conversations between us. I recorded them to eternalize those moments.
Writing this song as she was recovering was fast. Urgent. It felt like both a relief and a cry. My vocals in this track are fragile, very emotional, imperfect, recorded right after the storm. They are alive. They still carry the pain I felt. Even now, when I think closely about the words of this song, it’s hard for me to sing them.
I didn’t want to polish the pain out of my voice. As a caregiver, you often need to be strong for the person you love, to protect them not just from what’s happening, but also from your fear, your sorrow, your helplessness. But my voice, here, says what I couldn’t say out loud in that moment. It trembles with everything I tried to hold back, it screams, and it lets go without pretending to be in control.
We often think of the voice as just sound. But it’s a deep exhalation from our depths, like a wind that rises from the chest and reaches out, touching the breath of the world. It tells the truth, even when we try to hide it.

NEL DOLORE CERCA LA
Nel dolore cerca la
La felicità
Ce lo ripetiamo ancora e ancora
Come un mantra
Come
Voglia di viaggiare
In posti esotici
Nel dolore cerca la
La
Felicità
Ce lo ripetiamo ancora e ancora
E mi porti la mano
Sul tuo cuore
Ma come si fa?
A non amarti a fondo?
Dimmi, come si fa?
Mentre stringi i pugni
Brilli, brilli di più
Quello che ho più caro al mondo
Sei l’esempio del profondo
Vivere
Io che imparo dai tuoi guai
La cura al vuoto siamo noi
Quanto è cruda la realtà
E casuale il male
Ma ancora
Ci stiamo abbracciando
Ma come si fa?
A non amarti a fondo?
Dimmi, come si fa?
Mentre stringi i pugni
Brilli, brilli di più
Quello che ho più caro al mondo
Sei l’esempio del profondo
Vivere
Seeking happiness
Happiness
In sorrow
Seeking happiness
Happiness
Seeking happiness

Lyrics (English translation)
IN SORROW, SEEK
In sorrow, seek
Happiness
We repeat it to ourselves again and again
Like a mantra
Like
A desire to travel
To exotic places
In sorrow, seek
Happiness
We repeat it to ourselves again and again
And you place my hand
On your heart
But how is it possible?
Not to love you so deeply?
Tell me, how is it possible?
While you clench your fists
You shine, and shine even more
What I hold most dear in the world
You are the example of profound
Existing
I am learning from your troubles
We are the cure for this emptiness
How raw reality is
And how random the evil
But still
We are hugging each other
But how is it possible?
Not to love you so deeply?
Tell me, how is it possible?
While you clench your fists
You shine, and shine even more
What I hold most dear in the world
You are the example of profound
Existing
Seeking happiness
Happiness
In sorrow
Seeking happiness
Happiness
Seeking happiness
Happiness
In sorrow
Seeking happiness
